Sometimes a book tells you how to write, I show you how to write.For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Will Lewis. No seriously…it is Will Lewis….not William…..no one calls me William, I don’t even know why my parents gave me such a formal name. My friends call me Slick Willy, or Okay Willy when they are mad at me. They never call me William because that would be too formal and it makes them uncomfortable. They just put so much power in that name….it’s just too much responsibility for my liking.

I’m going to hold off on giving you the nitty-gritty without some information on what writing is in the first place. Your job may be teaching students, writing a business proposal, or writing content for a website. It doesn’t really matter what it is you’re writing — we all have to start somewhere.

Let’s face it, most of us don’t pick up the pen daily. We write when we need something or have a big assignment looming over our heads. And who can blame us? With so many other things to do, most of us lose motivation to write properly. I mean, who has time to stop and proofread as they go along? Instead, we separate writing into different steps and treat them like chores more than opportunities to express ourselves.

Writing is a skill that everyone should have. It doesn’t matter if you’re a writer or not, knowing how to write will help you in your daily life.

First of all, writing helps you get your point across and make the people around you understand what you mean. For example, if someone asks you a question and you don’t know the answer, writing down what they asked will help them understand why they’re asking.

Writing can also come in handy when trying to find out more information about something. If someone tells you something but doesn’t explain it well enough, writing it down will help them understand what they’re trying to say better as well as letting them see what they have said so far so they can explain it better next time around!

Lastly but not leastly at all (wow that was bad), writing is good for learning new words and expanding your vocabulary! You can use these new words in sentences later on down the road or even right now if there’s someone around (maybe even yourself!) who hasn’t heard these words before!
